Registered in the DNPM, the Brazilian chromium ore reservations totalize 25.5 million tons, equivalent to 8.4 million tons in chromium oxide contained ( 33,1 \% Cr203 tenor), geographically distributed among Bahia (72,2\%), Amapá (21,7\%), and Minas Gerais (6,1\%).<br><br>Vila Nova Mining has an installed capacity of production ton/year of concentrate, corresponding 53\% of the national production. The chromites commercialization is exclusively to the foreign market.<br><br>The tilling chromites are made in two ways: open sky and in underground mine. In the underground mine the resources were estimated in 3,304,454 ton with 34,74\% Cr203 tenor. Of this amount, 2,987,230 tons were considered as mining reserve, with 32,43\% Cr203 tenor. The UNDERGROUND MINE project has its mineral resource based in 15 boreholes, totalizing 7,574m drilled.
