The major excipient for use in tablets, capsules, granules, pellets and adsorption of drugs in solid pharmaceutical formulations. Can be used also in a variety of food systems with multiple functions, including as a bulking agent, extrusion aid and lubricant, anti-caking agent and flow aid and as a fat replacer and to increase insoluble fiber.
