During the 2nd World War, the Brazilian government confiscated German assets in Brazilian soil for future claims losses of the country during the war. With the end of the war, negotiations that resulted in the gradual return of these goods to their former owners have been developed. Among these goods was the German company AEG, traditional manufacturer of consumer electronics and whose headquarters in Berlin was deeply involved in the German war effort.<br />

At the end of the 40s, with the completion of these negotiations, the International Telefunken sent to Brazil one of its directors, Dr. Felix Ewald, with the aim of founding Brasifunken, this company that later became known as the Telefunken Brazil.
