2. Description:
TBAC is a low-toxic solvent with a medium evaporation rate, a wide range of dissolving power, negligible photochemical reactivity, and a flash point within a safe range. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) lists it as: exempt from restricted volatile solvents (VOC-Exempt) and non-hazardous air pollutants (Non-HAP). It has excellent solvency for a variety of substances including nitrocellulose, acrylic, alkyd, polyester and urethane resins. TBAC is mainly used in coatings, paints, adhesives, industrial cleaning agents, and can significantly reduce the VOC and HAP content of the product.
