Devoting himself since 1932 to produce orange, the agribusiness division owes its current condition to the pioneering spirit, tenacity and boldness of its founder, German immigrant Carl Fischer, and his son and successor William Carlos Eduardo Fischer, who knew how to preserve the priority focus of its business to the extent that this widened. The inaugural qualitative leap in citrus Carl was the purchase of the first farms and packing houses in Limeira and Trough, cities located in the state of São Paulo. In 1963 occurred the marriage of Pasco Packing Company (a major producer of juices in Florida), Eckes (importer established in Germany) and Carl Fischer (now man with long experience in citrus, with some orchards and a packing house). Together, they invested in the construction of the first plant of orange juice concentrate and by-products of the Fischer Group, in the city of Matão-SP, Citrosuco Paulista. Later, in 1969, the Fischer Group acquired part of Pasco, and in 1992, the Eckes part of the business, assuming full control of Citrosuco. In 1976 Citrosuco Paulista acquired a second factory in the city of Limeira. Continued in parallel with successive investments in farms for the production of citrus. In 1982, through the Division Citrosuco Fischer Group initiated a new stage in the history of Brazilian transport and storage, making it is one of the pioneers in building an integrated transport system for bulk juice concentrate, composed of tank farms for storage and export terminal in Santos, ships and special product distribution terminal in Europe, significantly increasing efficiency in distribution logistics product for world markets.
