The JTM-30C type NDB transmitter is a non-directional beacon radio transmitter (NDB) designed for use on board on oil rigs and ships, as well as for other applications.
The JTM-30C is available in two different versions of RF power output (100W PEP or 250W PEP) as a single NDB Transmitter configuration with a full transmission chain or as a
Dual (or redundant) NDB transmitter with two complete transmission chains with fault detection/report and automatic switching, common antenna adjustment.
Adjusting the transmitter to match the antenna impedance is a manual procedure. Auto Tune unit is offered as an option. The equipment is built on the basis of an entirely new concept for NDB transmitters using digital exciters. Transmitters have the following main features
JTM-30C is in fact an ALL-IN-ONE unit consisting of antenna adjustment circuits, driver (es) (generating output signal), RF power amplifier (es) and control and monitoring circuits. The AC power grid and DC power supply can also be installed inside the weatherproof and reinforced IP66 transmitter enclosure.
A heating element is installed inside the enclosure to reduce humidity at low temperatures.
