About Us

Empadão Goiano, Brazilian company, 21 years in the frozen appetizers, snacks and foods market. 1st place in the mid-west of Brazil in terms of sales volume, based in Goiânia. Empadão Goiano has become a true symbol of the gastronomic culture of Goiás. The delicacy is known and appreciated by the incomparable flavor throughout Brazil. The creation of the recipe was conceived in the City of Goiás, old Vila Boa, and is followed to the letter by the idealizer of the project, Maria do Rosário de Castro Coutinho. The respect for the original recipe is so much that it is executed by the Borges, Castro and Coutinho families for five generations. The house was founded in 1980 but only in 1997 came the idea of setting up a factory specializing in the production of salads for snack bars and events. Empadão Goiano started producing only pies and, of course, the true Goian's pie, the flagship of sales, and today it has a salty line. "Dona Maria", as it is affectionately called, works alongside the children - in order to serve more than 300 points of sale in the capital, among them, cafeterias, school and university canteens, coffee shops, gyms, emporiums, clubs, hospitals and convenience stores. For Maria do Rosário, the success achieved in business is the result of a deep love for cooking, as well as a lot of work, diligence and dedication.
