The sintered filters are manufactured by the hot isostatic pressing process, in which the powder of the material in question is compacted at high pressures and temperatures.
They are mainly used in steam filtration, in the discharge of air from machines and as "spargers", in processes involving bubbling of gas in liquids, such as carbonateing of beverages, oxygenation of tanks, argon purge. They are also used in purgators in hydraulic equipment, purgators in explosion-proof equipment such as flame-cut valves, exhaust fan in permanent casting molds and as a support for pore membranes.
They can be manufactured in the most diverse alloys, in which stand out the alloys of stainless steel 304 and 316, bronze and polyethylene.
