Our STEEL MILLS LINE includes the following products:<br><br> Hot Top Isofax (Insulating sideboards): These are insulating sideboards (also known as hot tops) used at the top of the ingot molder to minimize the “shrink hole” (abrupt cooling of the metal), therefore, due to its low thermic conductibility, the ISOFAX product helps to slow down the solidification of the steel, acting as a feeder in the contraction of the metal in the ingot mold, during its cooling. The Hot Top ISOFAX depends on the analysis, and the needs of each client, enabled to be prepared in plates or monolithic sleeves.<br><br> Hot Top Exotex (Exothermic sideboards): They are exothermic sideboards used at the top of the ingot molder, with the purpose of feeding the hot top, therefore distributing the liquid metal to the rest of the ingot molder that is in its solidification faze, thus avoiding the shrink hole and segregation. Our technical department is enabled to develop any kind and size of boards or monolothic sleeves, acording to the needs of each client. <br><br> Exoplaca (Expansive exothermic boards): These are expansive exothermic boards used at the exposed surface of the liquid metal in the ingot molder, with the purpose of avoiding heat loss by radiation. By having a high expansion capability (at least 4 times), the EXOPLACA diminishes to the most the contact of the liquid metal with the air, blocking, and also providing heat through an exothermic reaction, avoiding the solidification of the metal at the top of the ingot molder. The EXOPLACA must be used along with the ISOFAX or EXOTEK to have better metallic efficiency.<br><br> Kal-Lance (Lance pipes for injection of oxygen): These are tubes used mainly in the injection of oxygen in electric arc furnaces. Due to a chemical/ceramic protection, internal and external, the tubes acquire a greater resistance to high temperatures of the oxidation fase and refining operation of steel. With a lower tube consumption, productivity is gained in the 02 injection, and reducing the handling of tubes during the melting and refining steel.<br><br> Lat-Tec (Tubes for metal, and concrete cutting): These are tubes with metallic filaments to be applied in metal cutting, mainly stainless steel, non ferrous materials, concretes, and so on; generating temperatures above 2.950°C, without vibrations or noises. A tube that provides a great cost/benefit relation with great productivity and efficiency produced by its strong flame. It also substitutes the use of electrodes, and a blowtorch with powdered iron in the cutting of iron runner and molded hot tops.
