Using raw materials from the main steel plants in the country, METISA makes stone-cutting blades using special hot-rolling machinery, which allows obtaining strips in the required thicknesses and widths, with uniform section and free of defects that can be seen in other processes. By having such features, the METISA´s blades, made of micro-alloyed AR65E steel have superior hardness and mechanical properties. <br><br>Pre-tensioning:<br>METISA submits its blades to pre-tensioning on specially designed equipment, which applies strain above the elastic limit of the steel in order to cause accommodation of the steel structure. This prevents the blades, after being tensioned in the loom, from becoming distorted, thus allowing their re-installation.<br><br>Thickness and Length:<br>The hot-rolling process applied by METISA allows the making of blades in several thicknesses and lengths.<br> <br>Width:<br>METISA\s blades are available in several widths. You can choose blades having the most suitable dimensions, thus avoiding waste of material and causing a better cost x benefit rate.<br><br>Hole arrangements:<br>The hole arrangement can be customized. All you need to do is to inform the spacing between hole centers and the hole diameters. The blades are also available in out-of-center holes, which eliminates the need of turning the blades over at the end of each cutting, thus reducing the preparation time.<br> <br>Grooves:<br>Besides being deeper, which makes it easier to break the extremity, the new prolonged grooves allow cutting blocks of various sizes without the need of changing the loom configurations.
