PROPERTIES:
It is an iron-carbon alloy with filler elements (nickel, chromium, manganese, tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, silicon, cobalt and aluminum) giving this steel special characteristics, such as: tensile and corrosion strength, elasticity and hardness, among others.

APPLICATIONS:
SAE4140 - bearings, cylinders, gears, hydraulic shafts, rings, nuts and bolts, tie rods.
SAE4340 - shafts, gears, planetary gears, columns, sleeves and cylinders.
SAE8620 - columns, crossheads, ratchets, chainrings, crankshafts, pins, guide, pinions, gears in general
SAE8640 - gears, bushings, bearings, bored shafts, cylinders
SAE52100 - Manufacture of bearings and their components
SAE6150 - Semi-elliptic and coil springs, Valve springs (for maximum temperatures of 350°C), Torsion bars.
