SANTO INÁCIO MICROFUSÃO

The microfusion (precision casting) process, also known as investment casting or lost wax casting, is a high-tech process designed to manufacture components near their final shape with precision and excellent surface finish in a wide range of (ferrous) materials.
It all starts by injecting wax into the customer supplied molds / dies, where the wax piece will have the same dimensions as the steel piece, and assembled in bunches. Afterwards it will go to the coating, where the ceramic peel will protect the mold. The wax will come out in the deceration process, and the mold will be cast. SIM also has machining, lathes and CNC centers where it offers the customer the finished part.
The microfusion process is still little known in the metallurgical industry, but can reduce costs and operations, often eliminating or simplifying machining and welding. It has the advantage of highly complex parts, narrow dimensional tolerance, more precise control of mechanical properties.
SIM has active engineering, which assists the customer in the exchange of processes and adaptation to the micofusion process, with technology, software and prototyping, always aiming at reducing the cost to the customer.
We operate in the market supplying parts mainly for the automotive industry (including light and heavy assemblers), agricultural, food, construction, pharmaceutical. SIM currently has capacity for parts up to 50 kg and installed capacity to supply 62 tons.
