Weco Sa - Industria Equipamento Termo-Mecanico

WECO began in 1966 and has since maintained a strong presence in the boiler, machining and assembly industries. The company emerged from the capital of etin - Empresa de Tecnologia Industrial Ltd, owned by two technicians and founders of WECO, whose main business was the manufacture and sale of industrial projects.

The two technicians designed grain dryers for Kepler Weber S.A., accruing manufacturing rights on payment of royalties. The agreement with Kepler Weber promoted the development of WECO, arising from the manufacture, assembly and servicing of the oil furnaces and dryers, which always performed at a high level of excellence. Thereafter began the development of diesel and fuel oil boilers.

The oil crisis in late 1973, led the firm to engage in a program of technological development of coal furnace, burners and boiler, which existed in abundance in southern Brazil. This now pioneering national company was consolidated over the following four years following initial research studies in Europe to overcome the drawbacks of the coal industry including the high ash content, low calorific value and excessive fines.

At the same time the development of furnace and boiler burning alternative fuels such as firewood, rice husk, bagasse, biomass and other solid fuel pellets began, aimed to be used in regions where the sale of coal was not viable economically.

Today WECO offers a wide range of boiler equipment, including heating systems, hot water boilers for buildings and hotels, swimming pool heating, heat exchangers, autoclaves for curing tennis pressure vessels for the petrochemical industry and metal tanks.
