In 1970 Mr. Roberto Franzoi, with the intention to lead his children into the business universe, opened a small hardware store to trade chainsaws, engines, steel cables and general hardware to the local market.

Under the vision of the entrepreneur Celso Franzoi, founder´s son, in 1987 focused the business family in the lumber sector manufacturing band sawblades for woodworking. Two years later he started the production of circular saws and knives for planers.

In 1991, with the migration of the lumber pole to the North and Center-West regions of Brazil, Franzoi inaugurated its first branch in Belém-Pará.

Just ten years after its foundation, Franzoi became leader in the woodworking tools market and acquired a new and extended headquarter for its manufacturing plant in Caxias do Sul - RS. In the same year, Franzoi suffered the loss of its president and , since then, the family has assumed the continuity of its development.

In 2000, a modern Circular Saw Blade Production Center was bought, totally automatic, created for continuous production with 12 CNC axles, at that time exclusiveness of Franzoi for all Latin America.

With pioneering vision of the market, in 2002 Franzoi invested in German technology machines, exclusive in Latin America, for the manufacturing and sharpening of PCD tools, anticipating the furniture industry trends.

With the intention to extend its portfolio of woodworking tools and fortify Franzoi´s brand in markets still not explored by the company, in 2003 acquired Santi Ferramentas, until that time a competitor, that manufactures circular saw, cutters, cutterheads and sharpening machines.

Keeping the company politics of constant improvement in the technological area and precursor in the development of new products, in 2004 invested in up-to-date machines to begin manufacturing and sharpening drills.

With the same speed that business and sales volume grow, Franzoi has followed the global technological evolution, transfering technology and quality to its products.

Owner of the biggest physical structure in the woodworking tools sector in Brazil, Franzoi Group consolidates itself as market leader in manufacture and sales of woodworking tools for the woodworking and furniture industries, being present all over Brazil and exporting to more than 12 countries.
