The company was founded in Ubá, Minas Gerais, in 1964, with only 08 employees. The production reached 01 cupboard a day: highest quality cupboards. The name was an inspiration from its founder, Lincoln Rodrigues Costa, who caught a glimpse of the Agulhas Negras Peak, in the frontier among Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo States, located at the Itatiaia National Park. That could be a password to its rising success: "a company that always wants to reach the top". From that time on, many things have changed. But the handcraft work that results in high quality pieces of furniture is still the main feature of the company.
Nowadays, after several years and conquests, Itatiaia is among the 5 biggest furniture companies in the country. It employs more than 950 people, and manufactures steel cupboards and wood bedroom furniture with good taste and quality.
The industrial plant, installed in an area of more than 350,000 sq m, with a constructed area of 60,000 sq m, has the capacity of an average daily production of 6,500 pieces, which means 120 tons of steel and 150 pieces of wood bedroom furniture.
