Mitutoyo products, manufactured in Japan, began to be placed on the market through the company René Graf Import and Representations SA due to the great demand created, the Mitutoyo Corporation decides to expand its business in Brazil. It creates, in 1972, "Brazil Committee" beginning the setup project in our country.
Thus, on May 1, 1974, the company born Mitutoyo Import and Export Precision Instruments Ltd.. based in Jabalpur district in the state capital, along with the plant in Suzano, who became the first plant outside of Japanese territory.
Subsequently, the company name changes to the Mitutoyo Industria e Comercio Ltda. remained until April 1998 when the corporate gets new name, moving to Mitutoyo Ltda., taking responsibility for serving the market in all of South America.
Responsible for manufacturing various products, from mechanical and electronic calipers, by three-dimensional measuring machines, and the development and improvement of various products, many of which are 100\% national technology.
