Description
Calcium thioglycolate is a white crystalline powder, soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, with the special smell of sulfhydryl compounds, and red in case of iron, copper and other metal ions. Apply calcium thioglyctolate (1:1) as a depilatory agent for skin or leather. Calcium thioglycolate is the main depilatory agent today, which makes the mechanical strength of hair lower by destroying the disulfide bonds and polypeptides in the hair structure, and its reduction in alkaline conditions.
