Introduce:
Phenoxyethanol is a traditional preservative, colorless and slightly viscous oily liquid, slightly aromatic and spicy, slightly soluble in water, basically insoluble in mineral oil, can be mixed with acetone, ethanol and glycerin. Phenoxyethanol has a significant killing effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Pseudomonas aeruginosa), and has inhibitory effects on both Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria, and its mechanism is to increase the transmission rate of potassium ions and reduce the activity of enzymes by acting on the cell membrane, so as to inhibit cell growth and achieve antibacterial effect. When only phenoxyethanol is used as a preservative, the preservative effect is not good at low concentrations, and it may cause skin burning and stinging at high concentrations, so it needs to be used in combination with other preservative ingredients

Colorless liquid liquid. Melting point 14 °C, boiling point 245.2 °C, 165 °C (10.67kPa), 137 °C (3.33kPa), 128-130 °C (2.67kPa), 116 °C (1.67kPa), relative density 1.1094 (20/20 °C), refractive index 1.534. Soluble in alcohol, ether and sodium hydroxide solutions, slightly soluble in water. Stable in acids or alkalis, has an aromatic odor, and has a burning taste.
