Lupo, is a Brazilian manufacturer of underwear, socks, uniforms teams, employing about 2,200 people.
The company was founded in 1921 by Henry Lupo, with the fancy name of Meias Araraquara. The change of name to Lupo Socks SA, occurred in 1937.
In 1947, the company was already the largest manufacturer of mens socks from Brazil and in 1960 the first machines were purchased for the manufacture of womens stockings.
In 1987, the company began to be called Lupo SA, and that same year, Lupo received the first samples of nylon, synthetic yarn which would revolutionize the market for half the world. From the 1990s, the Lupo has expanded its product line, from manufacturing underwear.
Was chosen as one of the 100 best companies to work for the magazine Examination in August 2000 and in 2005 was voted by "ISTOÉ Money" magazine as the best company in the textile sector ranking "The Best of Money" in Brazil.
The current president is Liliana Lupo Aufiero, granddaughters founder.
