Honey is the result of the dehydration and transformation of nectar collected by bees, the amount of honey produced from a given plant varies with the factors that influence the production, concentration of nectar, and also with the concentration and proportion of its carbohydrates, with the number of flowers in the area and the number of days that the flowers are secreting (CRANE, 1975).
